LinkEd is a social learning platform built around one idea: the people you connect with online for education should be who they say they are - verified by the school itself, not just by a self-reported checkbox.

Most social platforms verify nothing beyond an email address. For a platform where students, teachers, and parents interact, that's not good enough. So we built LinkEd differently: a school registers on the platform, is reviewed, and then vouches for its own community by pre-approving a roster of students, teachers, and parents by email. Only a verified match against that roster - or a school's own registered principal email - unlocks discovery and messaging. No account's trust status is ever a self-asserted flag.

Why verification comes first

Education platforms sit in a uniquely sensitive spot: minors, direct messaging, and open discovery don't mix safely without real institutional oversight. LinkEd's answer is to anchor trust in the school, not in content moderation after the fact. A student's account is either matched to their school's roster, or - for adults 18 and over without a school - tied to a specific named teacher or professor they study under. Minors are never eligible for the open, no-school path.

What you can do on LinkEd

Once verified, students and teachers get a feed organized by grade and subject (not open social discovery), direct messaging, study groups with file sharing, and a following/discovery system scoped to people who are actually part of a shared, verified community. Parents linked to their child get a dashboard scoped to that child's activity. Schools get a roster management console and a dashboard for their Principal.

Where we are today

LinkEd is in early access. We're onboarding schools now rather than claiming an install base we don't have yet - if you're a Principal, teacher, or an independent educator with adult students, you can apply to bring your school or community onto the platform today.

Our commitment: every account's approval, roster membership, and Principal binding traces to one verifiable fact - a matched, verified email - never a self-reported flag or a client-supplied value. That's not marketing copy; it's enforced at the database rules level, not just in the app's UI.
