LinkEd is a social learning platform that connects students, teachers, and parents through a school's own verified roster, rather than open self-signup. It includes a feed organized by grade and subject, direct messaging, study groups, and follow/discovery, all scoped to a verified community.
Is LinkEd free?
Yes, LinkEd is currently free to use for students, teachers, parents, and schools during early access.
How does school verification work on LinkEd?
A school applies to register on LinkEd and is reviewed before approval. Once approved, the school's Principal claims their role by signing in with the exact verified email the application named. The Principal then pre-approves students, teachers, and parents by email as a roster. Only a verified email match against that roster - or the school's registered Principal email - unlocks discovery and messaging on the platform.
Is LinkEd safe for kids and minors?
Minors can only join LinkEd through their school's verified roster - there is no open, no-school signup path available to anyone under 18. The independent, no-school community lane is restricted to adults (18 and over) who name a specific teacher or professor they study under. Approval and access permissions are enforced at the database rules level, not just in the app's interface.
How does my school get added to LinkEd?
A Principal or authorized staff member submits a school registration application with school details and verification documents through LinkEd's in-app registration form. The application is reviewed before the school goes live on the platform.
Can I join LinkEd without a school?
Adults aged 18 and over can join LinkEd without a school affiliation, but they must name a specific teacher or professor they are studying under. This path is never available to minors.
What can teachers do on LinkEd?
Teachers get a verified profile listing their subjects and qualifications, get discovered by students at their school or by adult students who name them, message students directly, and run study groups with file sharing. See LinkEd for Teachers.
